Dr. Schreiber came from a family of construction workers. From a young age, he knew what it was to put a strong demand on a body from working hard. He had a significant fall while on a construction site and went to a chiropractor who was able to get him functioning again.
A few years later Dr. Schreiber decided to leave the family business and become a chiropractor.
He had seen many lives ruined by prescription drug abuse and misuse, as well as unnecessary surgeries, and wanted to offer people the best alternative. With a conservative approach, chiropractors have been able to help patients avoid excessive medical treatments which can have side effects. In his 14 years of practice, Dr. Schreiber has worked to integrate proper medical care into his chiropractic treatment. This suitably blended approach of conservative care and holistic principles has proven beneficial to many of his patients.
Dr. Schreiber has treated thousands of patients that have had significant injuries to their neck, back, and extremities, and has witnessed how these conditions have kept them from enjoying life due to severe pain and decreased functionality. Many experience shooting pain down their arms or legs, weakness in their hands, and changes to the way they walk due to unsteady legs. Some patients even experience headaches so severe they can’t go to work or spend time with their family. However, with time and effort, Dr. Schreiber has seen these patients achieve amazing recoveries.
He looks at each patient as an individual to assess their physical issues and understands that mental and emotional states play a role in the body’s health. That is why he is so excited to be working with a diverse group of professionals here at LLT. By using his skills as a seasoned practitioner, and working within a well-rounded, multi-disciplinary team, it is his goal to achieve functional improvement in every patient. Dr. Schreiber loves to see people get their lives back — to enjoy their hobbies, sports and work again!
And speaking of pushing bodies to the limit, Dr. Schreiber has been participating in the most awesome event: Tough Mudder. It is an obstacle race usually held out in the wilderness and is approximately 12 miles long. The training for this event is traditional running, but incorporates lots of unorthodox challenges.
At home he has three kids that keep him busy. Kids are wonderful chiropractic patients. Even though they do not usually have the physical injuries adults have, many kids with certain conditions respond well to chiropractic adjustments. Methods used adjust kids are vastly different from those used on adults. The usually do not involve manipulation, but rather the gentle use of instrumentation and other soft techniques. No matter what the method, the key is to get the nervous system working at its optimum potential. Since the nervous system controls and coordinates every function and sensation in the body, a healthy nervous system gives us the potential for a full and rich life.
