“The most powerful saying is what you say about yourself, not what someone else says about you.” – Rahkia Millerd
Rahkia Millerd has always had a strong desire to counsel and advocate for people who are unable to express themselves. After going through years of ongoing education while married and raising four children, she is now putting her passion to work.
As an intern therapist, Rahkia serves clients who are in need of healing and coping with daily stressors and those who seek treatment to deal with worries of the past stemming from traumatic experiences. She provides strategies to reduce interpersonal conflict and promote a healthier, mental well-being.
Rahkia’s journey through personal healing and walking with loved ones through difficult challenges has led her to be a great listener, advocate, and inspiration to those who desire a lifestyle change.
Her pursuit of helping those in need through their healing journey has equipped her to use an array of skills in serving the community. From her devotion to youth and adults who have experienced trauma, abuse, neglect, suicidal ideations, career conflict, depression, loss, substance use, and much more, Rahkia continues to encourage others with hope and purpose.
Rahkia believes in creating a safe and comfortable setting for clients to explore their feelings without judgment. The space she creates is inviting, warm, and filled with aromatherapy. This creates a setting where clients can begin their journey of healing and recovery.
In her free time, Rahkia loves to travel, enjoy the hammock in her backyard, listen to chill music, try different foods, go to theme parks, relax while focusing on self-care, and spend time with her family, friends, and pets. She has loved raising four children and sharing 20+ years with her husband.
